Me and Graham ice skating over the weekend..he was a little scared at first...but by the end he was going (slowly) around with out holding on to me or the rail..it was fun....I sort of hated the hockey skates...harder to skate in than figure skates...and not cute at all...but for an outdoor seasonal rink it was great....Looking forward to Napa on Ice again next year...the big girls were there a ton!

Bigger...better space

This is our new space at antiques on second here in Napa. My friend Lisa and I got our space put together yesterday..it took many many hours...which would have been many many more if her patents had not have helped. We covered every square inch of wall space and every nook and cranny with all out pretty stuff....we have a lot of stuff still to put in there but have to wait for some things to sell.

We love how it turned out...so pretty....keeping my fingers crossed that we sell lots!!

Christmas...

I didn't take many pics... but here are a few highlights.

Gabby Christmas eve.

Tiffanie and I on the wine train.. We took the littles on the wine train... they do a special for Christmas.. two free kids with one adult ticket... which they deeply discount. The fun part is Santa, elves, frosty, rudolph and carolers walk through the train. You can order from a menu of pastrys and other snacks and of course a wine and cocktail list and hot coco for the kids... we did it every year when the girls were little.

Meet our mischievous elf .... Howie... he is our VINTAGE elf on the shelf. I was not about to pay $35 for the actual elf on the shelf when I had a perfectly cute vintage one. He turned our milk green that day! Scarlette asks me every day... where's Howie? The concept of the North Pole is a hard one for her to grasp.

PHEW!!!! Now I can move on to this year!

2011- A Year in Review

2011 was a year filled with highs and lows ... just like any other I suppose. I am grateful for the continued health of my kidos, hubby and myself... and looking forward to NOT moving this year!!!

HERE are some Highlights from 2011:

I taught myself to Crochet
I became a coffee drinker
I gave up diet coke multiple times
I am the proud owner of a vintage trailer
we moved twice...UGGGGGG
Gabby started High School and Gwen Started Middle School
I started to home "pre" school Graham
I posted 129 times to the old blog...even less than 2010
I sold the Vintage Sheet blog
I only completed one quilt all year:(
I pinned 1161 things on pinterest
Gabby got her braces off and Gwen Got her Braces on.
I Found lots of vintage goodies at estate sales and thrift shops.
I got a small space to sell some of my vintage goodies at a local antique shop.
I started making my bed everyday...
Our Dog was hit by a car...:(
Our fair fish Herbet died:(
Quit my part time job and am now watching a sweet baby boy a few times a week.
Gabby turned 14, Gwen turned 11, Graham turned 4, and Scarlette Grace turned 2.

Looking forward to a more productive 2012.

Today I went to a by appointment only estate sale. I found out about it last weekend when I went to my friend Mollys house for knitting night. I headed out not knowing what to expect and clearly it was a good one and there is still a TON left. Now to wash and tag everything.

Family Fun at Mondavi Winery & the Calistoga Tractor Parade

Last weekend we went to a couple fun holiday events here in the Napa Valley. We started out at Robert Mondavi Winery for their holiday kick off celebration. This was a family friendly event.... however there were a lot of people there without kids also. It was super fun and on my calendar for next year. It was free for kids 12 and under and if you brought a food donation for the food bank then you got in free.... which we did. Otherwise it was 25$ a person.

Each adult got a wine glass to take home... the best part was that we got to taste the whole time we were there... included in admission:) There was yummy cheese, meats and bread to snack on and cookies for the kids. Santa was there and they had a tree lighting.

The big girls both had plans so it was just us and the littles... so weird to be a little family of four again:(

We headed up to Calistoga for the 3rd year in a row for the lighted tractor parade... which is a fun parade... there is even a hot air balloon basket that shoots a flame in the air... and lots of huge tractors and vineyard equipment.

I have not made much lately... but here are a few knit and crochet projects I have finished.

Knitted Ear warmer... I made it for me... Gab decided it was really cute on her. I have worn it once and Gab has worn it quite a few times. Free Pattern here.

Napa Christmas Parade 2011

Every year the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving Napa has a lighted holiday parade. Our dance and baton studio participates and two of my three girls were in the parade this year. It is a fun family parade with Santa riding on a float at the end of the parade. Most of the entries throw candy to the kids... which my kids love!

Here are the youngest baton twirlers.

The little ones in the wagon had battery operated lights attached to their Santa Hats... so cute.

Scarlette Grace and Tatum are the youngest at 2 and Mia and Gabby are three... the other two girls are older.

If you are local and looking for a great place for your children to learn to dance... this is the place. They offer classes for ages 2-adult... Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Baton... The really great thing is over the years we have made some really great friends and have become a "dance" family:)

Home Depot...kids workshop

Chad and I took the littles to Home Depot this morning for their kids workshop.. This is a FREE WORKSHOP...and it is the first Sat of every month. Your first time you get a free apron...so cute.

It was really fun for Graham..he got to use the screw driver and wood glue..to put his snow man napkin holder together. Scarlette Grace made one too..with lots of assistance from Mommy.

We saved the painting for home because it was way to windy to hang around HD waiting for them to dry.

Gwen wants to go next time...so we will take her for sure.

Now we are getting ready to head to Mondavi winery for some holiday fam fun...then off to Calistoga for the lighted tractor parade.

Dream On....

I want to share a note from my Papa... it was in response to my last post about dreamers VS realists.

It is a sweet note and I love it:) Love you too PA!!!

Dear Jen,

When I think or dream about my family I see only beauty and goodness and could not be more grateful. To be realistic I can’t imagine what the world would be like with out the dreamer and what our family would be like without both the realist and the dreamer. I don’t know if the dreamer could survive on its own.

I’m happy you have the dreamer gene and that I may have played apart. What makes me the most thankful however is that all the girls in our family are very strong and those genes are from your grandmother and great-grandmother. To be strong, creative, and realistic makes the ultimate dreamer.

Love you just the way you are.

Thoughts From My Bed....

This post is prompted by last weeks episode of Modern Family....which if you don't watch, you need to....it is great.

ARE YOU A DREAMER OR A REALIST? Or as I like to call my husband a dream crusher...which clearly makes me the dreamer.

We got our FREE vintage travel trailer two days ago...(pics coming soon)....and she needs some work....a lot of work...but I love her and see her potential and the family memories we can make in her....Chad just sees work...and while he was moaning and groaning about the problems and work that needs to be done...I called him a DC (dream crusher)...he quickly came back with (because he is also super clever and funny)..." No I am THE RC"....the reality checker.... Which was pretty funny.

I got the dreamer gene from my Papa...its both a blessing and a curse...as a dreamer you spend a lot of time coming up with great ideas, projects, & plans.....but you also get your hopes dashed when things don't turn out how you imagined them to be...you do however find the good, in people and are less cynical than the realist.

Clearly it is important to have both in a relationship...to keep balance...we have to keep things interesting for our realists;)

Off to dreamland....

Pretty holiday nail polish

I am loving my new nail polish...so fun and festive. I only did one cost and it covers really well.... It dried super fast, which is huge because I have a hard time waiting for polish to dry...

It was on sale at rite aid for $3.99...plus you got $2 back to use on other items.... Which I did in a second transaction....

It is revlon top speed...color 860 metallic.

Just had to share because I love it so much.

Pre school this week

Here is what we have worked on this week...as you can see T is the letter of the week. I purchased a laminator and we are doing lots of math, sorting, & missing letters. Some days Graham is more into certain activities ....today is an art day....Scarlette Grace works on letter of the week with us...in a very modified version. They both love it, which makes me happy.

Big Game Napa Valley- Recap

What is big game all you non Napans want to know? It is the big foot ball game here in Napa.. between cross town rivals Napa and Vintage High Schools. Even though neither Chad or I grew up in Napa, we quickly learned about big game... not only is it a big event for the High School kids... but for families and Alumni. We have been before, but this year was especially fun... It was Graham's first live foot ball game, Gabby was twirling at half time, it was the 40th anniversary for big game.. and it was also my first time in the new stadium. It is a great family activity and a great way to be part of the community.... Be prepared to get there early as it is packed.

I of course forgot my camera... so had to use my phone... pics are just ok... better than nothing though.

My boy.. totally enthralled... wouldn't even talk to me.. He LOVED it! Next year we will be taking him to more games. We left Scarlette with Tiffanie...thank goodness!!!

Our Adventure in Home (Pre) Schooling

Graham attended preschool last year and for a bit while we were in NC, and this year it is just not in the budget... I kept hoping some how we would magically be able to afford it...Nothing magic happened so I decided to take matters into my own hands and home (pre)school the littles. This is not something I ever thought I would do, but here we are and they love it and ask for school when we are doing other things. I do plan to send Graham to Kindergarten next Fall, I want him to play with friends and give me some time to sew and craft while Scarlette is napping.

So, last week we started doing a few things and then Monday I planned out an actual weeks worth of activities for both kids... Scarlette thinks she needs to do it too, so I set up some simpler activities for her to do while Graham is doing his writing.

Graham's School spot in the playroom. I used a table, chair and bulletin board I had around the house. I want to add a calendar and some other fun things this weekend.

His lesson on Monday... I used free printables from quite a few different home schooling web sites. We are doing "P" as the letter of the week and working on some fall activities. I happen to have the whole alphabet in the My" " Book series, my grandmas friend gave them to me years ago. We have a lot of things around the house all ready that we can use for activities which is nice.

I am headed to the dollar store Friday for some supplies for some craft projects and they have a whole school section ... we shall see what fun things I find.

I have 9 months to get this boy ready for Kindergarten.

Here is my freebie dresser from the other day....all re painted. I left the blue because I like the color, and re painted the knobs a Martha color in a lighter shade of blue..and a fresh coat of white on the rest...total cost zero!!! Its in my new room..waiting to receive clothes.

This is the big girls room after we painted it...the other three walls are grey...its pretty bright but really cute....and this is before I take down all the mirrors and frames so we can move. I sprayed all the mirrors and frames antique white..so they are an after as well. The frames were originally gold. Ok, back to packing.

Who Does Painting Projects..When They Should Be Packing?

If you guessed me...you were right...
I went to michaels yesterday and found magnetic paint in Martha's new paint line....I really wanted to use magnetic paint for Scarlette's whole fridge on the play kitchen we made her...but it is $25 a quart.... which is almost as much as we have spent on whole project...but when I found it yesterday for $4.99 for a small container I decided to make her menu board magnetic...

I will reveal whole kitchen when we are completely done..still adding finishing touches. Going to paint the frame in picture....any thoughts on color?

New House - Sneak Peak

My friend Kelly got married Saturday....Which is why I sat under the dryer Fri night to set my hair... I love to get dressed up and I love weddings. Just Chad, Gab and I went... Which was nice!

Vintage Aqua Hair Dryer

Made it-crochet jar cozy

I was itching to crochet last night and wanted a quick project. I decided to make a jar cozy...it is covering one of my canning jars....it could be used for so many things..pencil holder on your desk, makeup brush holder....and any other idea you can come up with...will be making more in other fun colors...if you need one in a specific color drop me an email. They slide off and are washable.

Favorite Drug Store Products

I have always used fancy salon hair products....now that the economy is bad and we are a family of 6...I have started trying drug store products..two of my faves at the moment are...

Umberto Beverly Hills-dry clean shampoo....it is a spray powder...that soaks up any oils and allows you to go one more day with out washing your hair...it hides dark roots a bit too...it's inexpensive and lasts a long time.

Second fave of the moment was found by Chad at walmart..it cost about 4$....it is surf head by wild harvest hair...
It smells nice...Chad and Graham use it on their short hair...Gab and I use it to smooth straight styles and to de frizz curly styles...and you don't need much so it lasts a long time too...

Maybe I will add a before and after later today...

My new vintage lounge chair

Picked this up today.....so excited...we use to have one like it and sold it when we moved back from NC. The cool thing about this one is it folds up..for easy storage and so we can take it camping in our new to us vintage trailer. Want to camp really bad...but we have a but of work to do on trailer and Gabs majorette schedule is crazy. My hope is to go once before the weather gets bad.

Pinterest Meetup-an Francisco bay area

Last Thursday I met Melissa in Emeryville for the Pinterest Meet Up... So glad to have a buddy to go with, I can be so shy around new people. I got there before Melissa so I walked through Sephora.... GOD I love that store... I want to try every item they have there... If I had time I could dedicate a whole blog to beauty products.

Beach Birthday Party

I got a bee in my bonnet and decided to have Scarlette's birthday at the beach. I did the photos in collages as there were a ton between my camera, Melissa's Camera, Tiffanie's Camera... and Gwen got a hold of Tiffanies Camera and got some fun pictures of all of us who are always behind the camera.

Vintage sheet strips tied on a string for decor- tied on by my best helper Tiffanie.. While watching the Bachelorette! The whole set up before guests arrived.... Yes, I dragged all this stuff... even my heavy picnic table that Tiff and I made.... it was awesome for pictures. The cupcakes.. I forgot to give them to half the people... OOPS

The vintage Sheet Beach blanket I made just for this party. The invite... I saw one like this on etsy and was going to try to cut out a mermaid like that and then I happened to ask my friend Lisa if she had a star fish for her Circut and she had the mermaid too!!!! Saved me a ton of time

Sammys wrapped in wax paper and tied with pink and white bakers twine..... It took me and Gwen an hour to wrap them all... No sand ... and no dry bread... worked perfectly!

First Day Of School

Thanks everyone for all of your sweet comments about Chuy!!

Today is the girls first day of school, which I think is way too early to start school... wish it started after labor day... it makes summer way to short.

My first baby is off to her first day of High School... SNIFF

How can it be... seems like yesterday when they were tiny like Graham and Scarlette.... time goes to fast!!!

Gabby was not nervous at all, she was all ready meeting up with friends when I dropped her off. I am worried about my little Gwennie Penny.... she knows no one at the middle school... She was nervous and upset. I felt bad as I dropped her off because there were all these groups of kids hanging out waiting for the bell to ring and she was heading in all on her own... I hope she makes a friend today!!!

Thoughts from my bed...sad day for the smith family.

Yesterday was supposed to be a fun exciting day....my in laws were set to arrive from Oregon so Chad and I could leave town for a couple of nights ....with out the kids....to celebrate his big 4...0....about an hour before they arrived our little dog Chuy Pepe was hit by a car and killed.

Gwen was out in the yard and came running in and said Chuy got hit by a car.....I started to run down the driveway..which seemed to take forever as our driveway is very long...as soon as I saw him laying in the street I started to cry.....I was in my pjs on the side of the road crying and trying to get the cars that were wizzing by to stop..... No one was stopping and another car actually hit him again....I screamed and was bawling at that point......neither of the cars that hit our pup stopped....so so rude.....

Finally a lady in a mini van stopped...I ran out in the street and scooped up his lifeless body.....I started back up the driveway carrying our Chuy and bawling my head off...I went and sat in my pjs in the dirt under the oak tree holding him while chad dug his grave. Thankfully Chad was home.... He just got home from a business trip. Chad said to me much later...I was surprised you picked him up out of the street....I said....I had to..I couldn't leave our dog out there.

As chad dug the grave I sat there holding our dog ....looking down at him and realizing he was never going to do his sweet doggie smile again... And seeing his limp body in my arms. I felt the full impact of death to my core.

At one point while chad was digging he said...honey you can lay him down...I said no I can't....so I held him until it was time for him to go in his grave.....once the grave was dug I carefully laid him in it in a cozy position. I couldn't watch while chad covered him up....thank God he didn't suffer.

Gwen cried a bit when it happend, because she saw it happen....she never loved Chuy...nor did Chad but they are both sad for Chuy..And Gabby.... Gwen seems to be fine.

Graham cried a lot and said to Chad...daddy we are a family with out a
dog.

Gabby was thankfully at the high school at baton/majorette practice.

We had 3 hours to wait to tell her that her baby ....chu chu was gone.
As a parent you dread the day you have to tell your child news that is going to break their heart.....the closer it got to three the sicker I felt.

My in laws arrived and were greeted by Graham ...who blurted it out before they were even up the front steps. It broke my mil's heart...she is a dog lover and liked chuy and felt horrid for gabby.

Chad and I went to pick Gabby up. I got out of the car so I could hug her.... she walked up all happy and talking about how hot and tired she was.... I hatred that I had to devastate her....I told her and she cried hard..I hugged her and cried with her...chad held us both. She asked a few questions in between sobs...she is doing ok .

Not everyone loved Chuy because he he was hyper, jumpy and yappy at times. .....we did...he was our pup and we will miss him a ton.

Scarlette Grace is TWO :(

My baby girl turned two... I don't remember being sad about it with the other kids... Maybe it's because I KNOW how fast they grow up and that she is our last little baby.

I took these on her actual birthday which was last Thursday. We have been talking about turning two for awhile now. A couple days before her birthday she figured out how to make two on her fingers and was pretty proud of her self.

Scarlette Grace STATS at TWO:

23.2 lbs= 10th percentile... I knew she was tiny but 10th percentile... shessh

34" tall= 55th percentile so just above average.

Your feet are soo tiny still .. all your friends that are the same age are wearing 6-7 and you are still in a 4.

You may be tiny... but you have a big personality.

You quite like to be the center of attention and are quite charming when we are out in public

You have been day potty trained for awhile now... which is crazy to me because you are so little the smallest sized panties hardly stay up.

You can count to 3 always and some times 5.

You love to sing and you sing along to the radio in the car.... which can be quite funny since we are usually listening to current music.
You try to be big like your brother.... which makes you a little crazier than your sisters were at your age.

You have no interest in TV.. AT ALL...

You call Gabby= ga ga or gagrielle and you call Gwen= wen and Graham is BUBA

You are an amazing little eater.. you love foods with flavor and spices....you also inherited Mommy's love for dessert...

You are not a huge talker at this point... but you understand everything and follow directions well..... as long as you want to.

You are the sweetest little girl and we love you sooo much!

Made it and Cut it...

I had been letting Grahams hair grow out and it was starting to be a bit unruly looking all the time. So... I decided to try buzzing it off. I also made him a real cute pair of shorts... as you will see.....

And in the cute new shorts I made him... I made him a pair out of this fabric earlier in the summer and they were too small.... see first pair here.

AS for the new short hair... he looks cute.. but I think I like it a bit longer.

I love the shorts and so does he, I used this tutorial. I want to make him some more... we'll see if I get around to it... I'm in the middle of a couple big projects...

Thoughts from my bed....

Tonights topic is.......Big families.
Not talking crazy big like 19 kids and counting big.....but bigger than the average family of 4. Do I consider my family of 6 big...Yes !!

The world is set up for the perfect little family of four....tables at restaurants, hotel rooms...most cars are made for the smaller family...I'm sure there are more examples that I can not think of at this late hour.

That being said the pros of a big family out weigh all the semantics.

I am friends with this great family that has 5 siblings....that are all adults, and they all love to be together so much....recently their grandma died and I watched a couple of their kids so they could go to the viewing.....as the 4 sisters left I felt glad that they had each other...and glad for my kids that they have each other.

My 3 older kids are visiting their cousins in oregon for the week...so I am a parent of one....it has been soooooooo many years since that happened. It is a bit too quiet on one hand and on the other it is pretty amazing...and super easy to only have one child to worry about. I missed the kids after they were gone half of a day....sheesh.

To late ....must sleep...

That is what the invitation said... and actually it was a really fun party. Tiffanie's parents are ever so nice and let us have the party at their house. We planned lots of fun old fashion games .... it was a pot luck so we had lots of yummy food!

Thoughts from my bed.....

I'm sure you are wondering what does that mean....I thought it would be a fun new segment...where I actually write about some things I want to write about, but never do because I have so many other things to post about.....and I am typing from my bed...which is nice because I am not hunched over the computer...but laying in my cozy bed.

Tonights thoughts are many but I am going to focus on the womens lib movement, and how I feel it has done more harm than good.

I know that statement may cause a lot of controversy...but its how I feel.

I think about this a lot...but tonight it is on my mind because my niece is in the hospital a short two weeks after my sister went back to work.

By creating the womens lib movement....and getting women so prominently in the work force...we have made it near impossible for women to stay home and take care of their children and homes. I know not all women want to do that but so very many do that are not able to.

My sis likes her job and likes working but it would be a whole lot easier if she could stay home with her kids especially since my niece has special needs. If she could afford to stay home with her babies she would.

Chad and I chose way back when gab was born for me to stay home with the kids. Financially it would be huge if I worked outside of the home... But I want to be with my kids (most of the time...ha ha)...they need their mama....even at 14 Gab needs me more than ever....not that she thinks so...but someone needs to guide their choices and decisions at this age ....especially with boys in the picture, and drugs, alcohol, friends , internet safety ..and much more facing todays teens.

I wish we could rewind back to the 1950's....I feel like that was the golden age in america...the ideal time to live.....realistically I know there is no such thing as perfect...and there were issues..but as a whole it was ideal.

I know there are women who love their jobs and want to work and find a way for their partner to stay home...which is great too...but I'm sure as any average one income family will tell you...it is hard.....and it is even harder with four kids in todays economy.....yes I know I didn't have to have four kids...But I wanted to... I have to remind my self of this when I can't go get that cute new pair of shoes I want. Truth be told I might have had more if we could have afforded it...

One other thought on this topic...
Because we as women have made it so that we can do anything a man can do we have taken away some things from our selves..... Things like being treated more delicately....I personally like haveing doors opened for me, and if I have my hands full of kids and groceries having a man offer to help is amazing...we are also expected to keep our emotions in check ....and it has also affected how we dress...I personally like wearing dresses and looking pretty....

Getting bleary eyed....enough for one night.

3rd of July- Silverado Country Club

I have soooo many posts to do.... all the way back to Easter... I spent one whole night just editing photos.... Now I just need to get posting.

I am starting with this post because it will be a quick one compared to the others.

Last year we went to Silverado country club on the the 3rd for fireworks for the first time and we loved it so we had to go back again this year. It is fun because you get to sit on the fairway with your picnic blanket.

Looking Back- Nattie's Fundraiser

Month's and eons ago we had a special fundraiser for my sweet niece Nattie who has CdLS... read her story here and more about the event here. It was a wonderful event that raised over $12,000. Which is a huge help with her ongoing medical expenses. She has since had surgery on her stomach and had a G tube put in and is doing so much better.... She is now 6 months old and hit the 12 pound mark and is in the 90% percentile for her syndrome.

I still have a million and one things to blog about from the past few months, but this is an easy quick post.... and what I have been up to lately.

Information about online classes is available for people who love arts, crafts, and design, and

Ruffled Pillow Cover.

I actually did a tutorial on this on the VS blog... check it out.

Pretty sure it will not stay white for long in this house!

I got Graham some sheets at a garage sale and there was no pillow case but two top sheets, so today I quickly whipped up a pillow case out of the extra top sheet.

I made Graham these shorts because I got the fabric at fabric store for $1.10. I used this tutorial. and added pockets... Only problem is I didn't follow my gut and make them a titch larger.. They are too narrow for Graham's liking so handed them down to Karson.. Hope they work for him...I have enough to make another pair...

Hoping to make the new ones tomorrow.

Next on the list was a cape for my boy.. he saw them at Six flags last week and I said NO WAY to buying one but I would make him one.... I loosely followed this tutorial... I did use her template for the batman emblem.

This block is uber time consuming... Never will I make a whole quilt like this!

DIY Hair Feathers ... On the Cheap

So, the big girls were wanting feathers in their hair real bad... I however was not going to pay $8-$12 a feather per girl.. I was talking to my friend Meegan who is a hair dresser and she told me exactly how to do it and cheaply. Gabby's BFF Emily from NC is staying with us for two weeks.. so I thought it would be a fun thing to do while she is here.

Here's what I did... No photos as I could not take photos and install feathers at same time... not quite that talented. Called around to beauty supply places to find the crimp beads used to put in extensions. They were 25cents each so I got 2 dollars worth. I then grabbed a bag of feathers at Michales ... there were a few different choices... I got the bright ones because I knew Gwen wanted bright colors. Meegan also said you can get the longer skinner ones at fishing and hunting stores.

You will also need a tiny crochet hook... (really tiny) to pull your hair through the bead and a pair of pliers to clamp bead shut over feather and hair.... that easy. Put them about 1/4" away from scalp or they will stick out weird.

Emily has a turqouis feather, gab got hot pink and black and Gwen did hot pink as well.

And me... yep I even did them on my self. Cute polka dot tiny feather up top and big black feather underneath.

I have yet to wash mine... but the girls swam and they are just fine.

And Graham the ham ... made me take his picture too.. not sure what this pose is all about. He also wanted a feather.. so I barretted one in ... he got over it quick.

DIY Birthday Gifts

We had two birthday parties to go to last weekend for two different two year old's. I went to target and tried to find a gift and everything was sooo boring or plastic and crappy... so I decided to make their gifts.

Party Number one....

Home made play dough with the recipe to make more and a vintage cookie cutter to play with. Also a couple pairs of big girl panties- which I didn't make.

I made her a skirt and added a cute flower to a top I bought to match the skirt.

Party Number two...

Tatum(the birthday girl) LOVES duckies... she even takes a giant rubber ducky to bed. So I decided she needed a soft ducky blanket to snuggle with. She also got play dough, cookie cutter and panties.

Here is her cute outfit.The skirt is actually made from a sheet... not a vintage one surprisingly... it is one from pottery barn teen.

I am super happy with how everything turned out, it felt nice to give a thoughtful gift.

Yep I was in it that long... why you ask... drank a few glasses of wine with my girl friends and ended up staying the night at Kattie's house and felt like such crap from the wine the next day that I stayed at her house until noon... Once I got home I got busy and we ended up having a BBQ with friends ... and I never got a chance to change... for those of you who do not know me... I am not much of a drinker... I literally had 5 glasses of wine from 6pm-1 am... Maybe I didn't eat enough .. who knows!
