Rainy Day Activities

The girls made Graham green and red play dough as the orange from Halloween was finally starting to get dry.  I love homemade play dough, it is soooo easy to make and so soft. Not to mention no added chemicals.  Only flour, salt, oil, cream of tartar and water and some food color or koolaid.

 Scarlette REALLY wanted to play with it so here she and Gwen are sitting at the bar playing with it.

Yesterday, Gwen, Graham and I made dog biscuits for Chuy Pepe.

This web site is full of dog treat  recipes. Chuy loves them and Gwen and Graham got to cut out shapes with cookie cutters and they were free since we used ingredients on hand.  And natural too. Just Peanut Butter, Flour, milk and baking powder.

Saturday afternoon we went berry picking. Strawberry picking that is.

I did make three batches of jam. For dessert that night and tonight we had strawberry shortcake. We whipped up fresh whip cream and I made homemade shortcakes.
I used this recipe.
It is excellent and I could just eat the shortcakes on their own!
We had a great time, it was a perfect family outing!
