It Only Took 14 Weeks.....

To finish this blanket. I started knitting it right after we found out that this baby is a girl. I used a cotton yarn that is super soft and washable. I got the pattern off of knitting pattern central.
See, I really have been knitting. I am making her a matching hat and want to knit her a pair of the mary jane booties, link on the right of the blog.

Chad's response when I showed it to him: "COOL"
That is the response I get after 14 weeks of knitting! SHeesh
Gabby said "it's really pretty."
At least someone liked it.
Maybe it will be baby girls favorite.

A close up of the diamond pattern. I originally couldn't decide between this pattern and a more lacy open one, but Chad had an opinion about that. He like a solid blanket that your toes doesn't get caught in!

Sorry for the bad light, it has been gray and rainy the last two days! Great way to start summer vacation.

Beautiful! I love the pattern!

Do you mind, what was the name of the exact pattern on knitting central? I think I'd like to keep that pattern on standby for someone's baby :-)

Congratulations! Beautifully made baby girl blanket. I love to knit also, and this is inspiring me to pick up my knitting needles, and have a project on the go.

It is so pretty! I would really love to learn how to knit but my efforts have been dismal so far.

I like this pattern too. Do you have the link? My mom says the same thing: that baby's fingers and toes get caught in lacy patterns.
