Gifts From Sweet Friends

My good friend Melissa got me the necklace I wanted (see this post)  for a baby gift after I had Scarlette. I LOVE Love LOVE it and wear it all the time!!  Scarlette loves it too, because it make pretty noises when she grabs it.

My friend Colima sent this darling bunny for Scarlette, she made it, isn't she the cutest!

More Baby Gifts

Received some more gifts for baby girl, some from the virtual shower and some from blog land.



I received this the other day from my friend Jenny K. in CA. Super soft and cozy bamboo swaddle blanket and a sweet Lullaby CD. We used the swaddle blankets with Graham and they helped him to sleep better because he could not get his arms free and wake himself up.

This was from my friends Wendy and Heather in CA. I used the gift card and got a bunch of items I needed.

A gift card to Janie and Jack from my friend Andrea in CA, who just gave birth to a big little guy. I just love Janie and Jack, all of their bags and packaging are so cute. I am waiting to use this one for when they come out with cold weather clothes, we are lacking in that dept.

This darling blanket is from my blogger friend Heidi, she sent it with the vintage sheets she sent for the swap. I just love the chick flannel, sooo cute. Thank you Heidi!

This last one is not really a gift, but I had to show you anyway. Missy and I did a trade, she wanted some items in the shoppe, so we traded. Missy makes the most amazing baby dresses, she has a ton of patience. Stop by her shop if you are looking for a heirloom special occasion dress. I do not have the patience for making garments this small, I have been working on a newborn dress for baby girl for weeks. It is almost done, just needs buttons and the sleeves set. I keep putting it off. Better hurry up and get it done.

Baby Shower Gifts

My sister hosted a virtual baby shower for me, for all my family and friends that are far away. Here are all the goodies we received for baby girl! You would think that I would have a ton of baby gear since this is number 4, but we sold a lot and some things got ruined in the move

From my sister- cool wooden toy, pink sheet saver a darling mouse lovie, a 6 pack of 8oz glass bottles and a 6 pack of 4oz bottles. Yes, I will be breastfeeding, but mama might want to have a glass of wine now and again and the other peeps in the family may want to participate in feedings.

It is perfect for short trips, when you don't want to take the whole huge diaper bag. I love the shabby fabric she chose. The cool thing is there is a big pocket for wet items and a pocket with a changing pad and another pocket with a wipe case.

My mother in law and Grandma in law sent us gift cards for amazon to help out with the double stroller. I need to order it!

I also received a gift card for Babies RUS from my friend Jenny McCall, which I plan on using for hooded towels since I only have one!

A few gifts I have made

Just a quick post before a go sew for a bit before bed!

Here are some pics of gifts I made recently.


One of Chad's co-workers had a baby a few weeks ago and I whipped up this receiving blanket and burp cloth.

One of my very dear friends Melissa is having her baby girl at the end of the month. We have been friends since 7th grade. I'm not going to even count the years up:)
I was in a lavender mood when I started her gift, so I just stuck with it.

Even though I haven't posted about knitting in FOREVER, as you can see I have been knitting. I am trying to finish a knitted baby blanket for baby girl! Hope to have it done sooooon!

That is it for now, I am off to sew strips together for the quilt along.
